I have just started this and am in the process of talking to family
members and looking at whatever records I can find on the internet. There are many resources available, and I have far from
exhausted all the options.
MAPS are important! Knowing WHERE a relative was in what time period can save you hours and days of time.
I'm saving up for Goldbug software's product that maps Europe through the centuries and their product that shows maps of the
US through time. Hopefully, if I can just go to one place for a map that I need, I won't be searching for hours to see if
I can find one that covers the 'right' time period.
